Slow Your Roll in the Kitchen
Coming home to the smell of a meal that’s been cooking in the crockpot all day is the smell of WINNING! Slow cookers or crock pots are amazing if your single or not. If you ever have weeknights alone or live alone there are so many recipes you can make with only getting one dish dirty. Some of us don’t have kids or a significant other to cook for, too.
Before heading to work, throw all of these ingredients into the crockpot and walk out the door.
-
Red beans and rice! Not only is it healthy, but cheap, fast and easy.
-
Meatloaf! Yup. meatloaf in the crockpot! You can even throw in some potatoes and carrots to have a little side dish.
-
Cheesy chicken and potatoes! Just make sure you look for the smallest potatoes at the store. Another healthy option, too.
-
Beef and bean chili. Now that we’re getting into the colder months, chili is perfect.
-
Apple pork loin! Perfect for fall if you love meat. All you’ll need is tortillas to put the pork on when it’s done.
There are so many ways to have a meal for one and not have endless amounts of leftovers. Slow cookers are so convenient, but also be careful to not burn your meal.
