HBCU Students Can Apply For Free Textbooks
Textbooks can be one of the more expensive parts of college life.
Some fortunate students attending HBCU’s will have that burden relieved. Learning materials company Cengage has partnered with the United Negro College Fund (UNCF) to provide free semester-long textbook subscriptions to 1,000 students from Historically Black Colleges and Universities.
The digital subscriptions will last for a semester. The program will be administered by UNCF, which will select the subscription recipients on behalf of Cengage.
Eligible students will have to apply to get the service for free. To qualify, entries must be submitted by August 29th, 2019. For more information, visit the UNCF site.
