Most know how strict regulations both the NFL & NBA have been about shoes¬ & cleats, but they both seem to be loosening up a bit.
The 2017-2018 NBA season saw a slight tweak to the normal sneaker rules, allowing players to wear shoes that didn’t match their uniform, now that is changing for the better. According to SoleCollector, the NBA is now allowing the players to wear whatever color sneaker they want throughout the entire 2018-2019 NBA season and beyond.
This proves once again that Adam Silver, NBA Commissioner, and the NBA is all about the players and their fans. Sneaker culture is synonymous with the NBA and it’s star players from signature sneakers, new release debuts, and now custom styled kicks, it is definitely something the NBA should be paying attention to and it seems like they are well aware.
Let’s take a look at some of the best custom kicks worn on & off the court this past season.
There’s plenty more where that came from. All I know is I’m super excited to see what some of the players bust out over the course of the new season.
