Is Anyone Concerned That Drake Is Giving Away All His Money?
It’s been in the headlines all week – “Drake gives money to Miami X” – whether it’s a school, a supermarket, what have you.
And while Philanthropist Drizzy is super awesome, because who doesn’t love to help out the little guys, I got to a point where I literally sent a tweet to Drake asking him if he was healthy.
People tend to start giving away large sums of money when things are going on, so I’m just checking on Drake’s well-being. I also made the joke he could help me with my student loans but… Well, we’ll see about that.
To tally it up, here’s what Drake has dolled out in terms of dollars, according to XXL:
- $50,000 to Lotus House, a Miami Homeless Shelter for Women and Children as well as dropping $150 gift cards to 130 Women. Not counting the gifts, the total? $695,500
- Sabor Tropical Supermarket In Miami, paying for every item customers could bag. Total? $50,000.
- Donated $25,000 to Miami Senior High School, and also OVO Uniforms, which cannot be determined cost wise.
- $50,000 for tuition for Destiny James – a University of Miami student’s tuition.
The grand total so far, not counting the uniforms: $820,500 so far. Who knows how much farther Drizzy will go?
