Did you know there is a medical term for the day? Yes, if you are fearful of Friday the 13th you have a phobia called ‘Friggatriskaidekaphobia’ or ‘Paraskevidekatriaphobia’.
2. Movies…well…not 13.
There are currently only 11 Friday the 13th movies starring the fictional character Jason Voorhees available for your viewing pleasure centered around this unlucky day.
3. It’s like Christmas…sort of.
If you are worried another Friday the 13th is around the corner, don’t bother. The maximum you go without seeing Friday the 13th is a total of 14 months so it’s only coming once this year!
4. A hip-hop legend was lost on this date
The famous rapper, Tupac Shakur was killed on Friday, Sept. 13 in 1996. Sadly, his death still sparks controversy.
