Myrtle Beach, SC ranks pretty high on the list of ‘Most Romantic Cities’ in the country. According to the online dating site Elitesingles.com, it comes in at #2. It conducted a survey of 150,000 Americans to find out the 25 most romantic locations in the country. The results were based on how strongly survey participants agreement with the statement: “I bring romance to my relationships.”
If a South Carolina city is the #2 most romantic city in America, then which city is the most romantic? It may surprise you. Boynton Beach, Florida tops the list. In fact, the Sunshine State dominated the top 25 list with seven spots.
The state with the next highest representation on the list is California. It has six romantic cities. And apparently the easiest way to find a romantic city is just go to the southern coastline. That’s because 18 of the list’s 25 cities are within an hour’s drive from a warm, sandy beach. Nothing like a sunshine, ocean water and a sandy beach. It’s apparently all the ingredients necessary to make up of romance.
