Why not share some feel-good news before the end of the year? Thanks to the national nonprofit Petco Love, we are spreading cheer this holiday season by distributing $1 million to animal welfare organizations nationwide. This is a part of their annual Love Stories campaign, in partnership with BOBS from Skechers.

Thousands of adopters submitted stories about how their pets changed their lives and 100 of the most impactful stories were selected, awarding lifesaving funds ranging from $1,000 up to $100,000 for the organization that made their adoption match possible. Organizations were surprised with their winning grant amount at events held at Petco Pet Care Centers throughout December, and winning adopters received BOBS from Skechers shoes and a Petco shopping spree to spoil their beloved pet.

Animal lovers also helped make the holidays even brighter by voting for their favorite Love Story. Five stories were selected by popular vote to receive a “People’s Choice Award,” and earned animal welfare organizations an additional grant, ranging from $5,000 to $25,000. Below you will see the people’s choice winners.
