Get your brackets ready. It’s March and that means college basketball. Yesterday was selection Sunday and there are a few local teams who will be dancing in the coming weeks. Three North Carolina men’s teams made the NCAA tournament as well as 4 women’s teams from both Carolinas. This is a lot fewer than some years in the past. In fact, either state has a number 1 seed in the men’s tournament though each claimed one for the women. Both tournaments kick off this week with first four games for the men Tuesday and Wednesday. The women’s tournament kicks off Thursday.

Will Coach K go out with a win and a national championship for his final game? Or will it end in disappointment the way the regular season and ACC Tournament did? Can one the Carolina’s two women’s number 1 seeds win it all? Could the national championship be another matchup of these two teams? There are sure to be shakeups as there always are in March. It wouldn’t be madness without some. So as long as it doesn’t impact my team (go Pack!) I’m all for the drama!
