National Pizza Day And Where To Get The Best Deals In North Carolina

It’s one of my favorite days every year. It’s National Pizza Day. And, that means pizza restaurants all over the country offer up deals in celebration. According to SouthFloridaReporter.com, 93% of Americans order pizza at least once a month. More than 40% place that order once a week. In total, that comes to 3 billion pizzas a year. And, did you know that NASA tested a 3D printer that is capable of making pizzas in space. So, if it’s popular enough to make in the galaxy, it’s certainly something we love back here on Earth. Of course, one of the most popular days for pizza is during the “Big Game” that happens every February. And, another holiday that sees some of the biggest numbers of pizza orders is Halloween. Apparently, folks love fueling up on a pizza before or after heading out for the candy grab. Also, it’s not surprising one of the most popular toppings is the standard pepperoni. But, no matter what you choose, it’s for sure we always love a good deal. And that’s exactly what you find on National Pizza Day. So, here’s a sampling of some of the best deals to find on National Pizza Day.

 

  • Chuck E. Cheese

    The chain is offering a free large Chuck E. Cheese pizza with any one topping when you buy one at regular price. However, this offer is good only at select locations. So, it’s best to call ahead and double check. There are several locations in North Carolina including Pineville Matthews Rd in Charlotte, Cox Rd. in Gastonia and Lyles Lane NW in Concord.

  • CiCi's Pizza

    The deal at participating CiCis Pizza is one free one topping pizza when you order a large one topping pizza.  This is a dine in only offer.  And it must be mentioned to the server.  There are 13 locations in North Carolina, including Charlotte, Matthews and Kannapolis.  There are 10 locations in South Carolina including Myrtle Beach and  Rock Hill.  But, make sure you check ahead to see if your location is participating.

  • Domino's

    Nationwide, Domino’s locations are offering a mix and match deal for National Pizza Day.  Any two menu items are $7 each.  If ordering take out, you can also get a one topping pizza, dips & twists combo or 8 piece wing order for $8.  There are numerous locations in the North and South Carolina region including Charlotte and beyond.  Check each location for the deals.

  • Jet's Pizza

    Jet’s is home of Detroit style pizza and has more than 400 locations across 20 states including North and South Carolina.  Locations in North Carolina include Charlotte, Matthews, Huntersville, Monroe and Mooresville.  The deal at participating locations includes 20% off all menu priced pizzas to online customers using the code PIZZA23.  This includes New York style, thin crust, cauliflower and gluten free.  Check your location to confirm.

  • Marco's

    Participating Marco’s offers up the large Marco’s Pepperoni Magnifico for $10 when using code PEPMAG.  Or, get the medium one topping pizza for $7 using code MED699.  Marco’s is located throughout North and South Carolina.  Check the website for spots near you and for participation.

  • Papa John's

    Papa John’s has a new creation called the Crispy Parm Pizza.  It has cheese on both sides.  And, it’s just in time for pizza day with the thin crust pizza available for $13 at participating locations.  And, in time for Valentine’s, the heart shaped pizza is available with one topping for $12.  With locations throughout the Carolina’s, there’s sure to be one near you.  Check the website for your closest and for participation.

  • Papa Murphy's

    Papa Murphy’s is offering 25% off when you spend $25 or more and use promo code PZDAY2.  The Heartbreaker Pizza is a heart shaped pepperoni pizza, and it returns through Valentine’s for $11.  Check for locations of the “Take and Bake” near you and for participation.

  • Pizza Hut

    Pizza Hut offers the Big New Yorker.  It’s  16 inch pizza with oversized slices and double pepperoni for $14.   You can choose you own custom toppings too for an additional charge.  Of course, there are Pizza Hut locations everywhere.  So, just check for your closest and for availability and participation.  And, side note, the chain just helped a YouTuber in California break the world’s record for largest pizza!

  • Mellow Mushroom

    Buy $25 gift card online from Mellow Mushroom in February, and you receive a $5 bonus.  Check online for details and location.  I know there is a Mellow Mushroom in Ballantyne Village near 485, Selwyn Ave. in Charlotte as well as West Martin Luther King Jr., Blvd in Charlotte.  They were founded in 1974 in Atlanta and have been serving up pies since.  They are proud of the unique and flavorful spring water crust.

  • Farley's Pizza & Wings

    We love Farley’s.  When we moved into a new home in Monroe years ago, our realtor brought us Farley’s on closing day.  There’s a location on Potter Road in Mineral Springs right by the railroad tracks.  It’s amazing that such big flavor comes from that little building!  Their deal today is $9 for a 14 inch pizza with 1 topping.  Order online and use code “pizzaday”  They have another location on Old Lancaster Hwy. in Ballantyne.
