Visiting a pumpkin patch is a Fall past-time. Picking the perfect pumpkin for your jack-o-lantern can be harder than it seems.
But don’t drop your pumpkin seeds just yet, because we’ve created a list of 10 pumpkin patches near Charlotte, North Carolina for you to enjoy.
1. Hunter Farm
Located at 13624 Providence Road in Weddington, North Carolina, it is full-on Fall season at the Hunter Farm. The farm is open Tuesday through Wednesday from 2 pm-7 pm and Thursdays through Sunday from 9 am-7 pm. No reservations are required for pumpkin picking, however, wagon rides do require them.
2. Riverbend Farm
Located at 12150 McManus Road in Midland North Carolina, Riverbend Farm is such a great place to snag a pumpkin. This is their 24th year of producing pumpkins! The farm is open Monday through Friday from 3:30 pm – 6:00pm, Saturday from 10am-6:00pm and Sundays from 1pm – 6pm. Admission is $5.50 age 2 & older and includes a ton of fun Fall activities.
3. Shelby Corn Maze and Pumpkin Patch
Located at 120 Broadway Dr. in Shelby, North Carolina, the Shelby Corn Maze and Pumpkin Patch is a fun place to spend the day! Fall fun includes an 8-acre Corn Maze, Pumpkin Patch, and more. It costs $12 to visit and is open Fridays 4-10 pm, Saturdays 10 am to 10 pm, Sundays 2-8 pm. It is important to note that the pumpkin patch closes at 7 pm on Friday & Saturdays in October.
4. Hodges Farm
Hodges Farm is a great place to bring the family! Located at 3900 Rocky River Road East in Charlotte, North Carolina, you can enjoy picking pumpkins, a farm shop, photo ops, and more at this pumpkin patch. This patch is open through October 31st from 9 am to 6 pm every day. On Saturdays and Sundays, you must pay $5 for parking.
5. Aw Shucks! Farm Corn Maze and Pumpkin Patch
Located at 3718 Plyler Mill Road in Monroe, Aw Shucks! Farm has a perfect pumpkin patch open until November 14th. Admission is $9 for kids and $11 for adults. They are open Fridays, Saturdays, and Sundays. Times vary so check their website. They also have a corn maze, soda shop, animal barn, kids play area, and a scary attraction called the 13th Acre.

Located at 4701 Hartis Road Indian Trail in North Carolina, Wise Acres Farm is a lovely place to pick your own pumpkins. The farm is open Thursdays through Sundays until October 31st. The farm takes reservations only at $3 per person. If you want to add pizza to your visit, it is $25. You can book your visit here.

Located at 1261 Oakridge Farm Hwy, Mooresville, North Carolina, Carrigan Farms allows you to pick your pumpkin right off the vine! Reservations are required are you can choose from tons of pumpkins in their massive patch. The cost is $12.00 per person for everyone ages 2 and older. The patch is open until October 21st at various times.

Located at 10390 Caldwell Road in Mount Ulla, North Carolina Patterson Farm is a fun pumpkin patch with loads to do. Admission is $15 per person and includes access to the barnyard, Pawpaw Carl’s playground, corn maze, cow barrel train ride, and pumpkin patch. The farm is open until November 6th on weekdays from 10 am to 6 pm, Saturdays from 10 am to 6 pm, and Sundays from noon to 6 pm.
9. Simpson’s Pumpkins & Trees
Located at 7661 Pineville-Matthews Road in Charlotte, Simpson’s pumpkin patch offers pumpkins in various colors. They also have mums for sale and a fan-approved painted Panther pumpkin. This patch is open Monday through Sunday 8 am to 8 pm.

Technically this farm is in South Carolina, but since it’s so close we had to have it on our list. Located at 445 W. Rebound Rd Lancaster in South Carolina, the Hall Family Farm features a 7-acre corn maze, pumpkin picking, musical hayride, kids’ activities, school tours, group tours, and refreshments. The farm is open Saturday from 9 am to 10 pm and Sundays from 9 am to 7 pm.
