Jack Harlow has been steadily proving himself in hip-hop over the last couple of years. The Kentucky native has earned himself three No. 1s on the Billboard Hot 100 and six Grammy nominations thus far in his career. Harlow came into the mainstream with his 2020 hit “Whats Poppin'” which later included a remix with Lil Wayne, Da Baby, and Tory Lanez. He shows no signs of slowing down, as a common theme in his music is proving all of those who doubt him wrong.
He did just that when he had a surprise release of Jackman on March 28, 2023. The album is titled after the rapper’s full name which is Jackman. It debuted at No. 1 on Billboard’s Top Rap Albums.
Jackman comes after his 2022 sophomore album Come Home The Kids Miss You. The Grammy-nominated album debuted at No. 3 on the Billboard 200. The album produced hits such as “Churchill Downs,” “Dua Lipa,” and his first No. 1 on the Billboard Hot 100, “First Class.”
Come Home The Kids Miss You was nominated for Best Rap Album, “Churchill Downs” was nominated for Best Rap Song, and “First Class” was nominated for Best Melodic Rap Performance.
His 2020 debut album, That’s What They All Say, put the rapper on the map with his lead single “What’s Poppin.”
Jack Harlow In 2024
So far in 2024, Harlow’s “Lovin On Me” is still in the top 10 of the Billboard Hot 100 after its No. 1 spot debut in 2023. The track marked the rapper’s third chart leader behind 2022’s “First Class,” and 2021’s feature on Lil Nas X’s “Industry Baby.”
At the end of 2023, the Kentucky native left his fans a message on how he is leaning into 2024.
“Thank u for allowing me to reset this year,” he wrote back in November 2023 on X (formerly known as Twitter). “I moved back to Kentucky and gave u an album I could not have made on the road. Surrounded by family & childhood friends this has been one of the happiest years of my life. But now…a new era begins.
