JCSU Recruits Former 5-Star Charlotte Native, Quavaris Crouch
Johnson C. Smith University might have just made one of the biggest moves in offseason HBCU athletic recruiting. The home of the Golden Bulls just recruited 5-star product and Charlotte native, Quavaris Crouch, to their football team.
The 6 foot, 237 pound linebacker is graduate of Harding University High School and was named the 2017 North Carolina Gatorade Player of the Year. Upon graduation, he signed with the University of Tennessee where he played 2 seasons. In 2021, he hit entered the transfer portal and went to Michigan State. He only played one season with the Spartans before entering the transfer portal again.
Johnson C. Smith finish the the 2022-23 season with a record of 7-4 and played in the inaugural Florida Beach Bowl which features teams from the SIAC and the CIAA.
While, JCSU has not officially announced their newest recruit, head football coach Maurice Flowers has confirmed the news. Golden Bulls fans around the nation are excited to welcome Quavaris Crouch to the family and can’t wait to see him on the field next season.
