North Carolina Has Some Of The Crankiest Coworkers In The Country
Is Jane in accounting or Brad in marketing seemingly always in a bad mood? Or perhaps you are the cranky coworker. Are they like the naked neighbors where they say if you don’t have one you are the one? I’m confident enough in myself to admit that I certainly can play that role sometimes. Sometimes that is 100% my fault other times it’s the lack of attention paid by others or people’s inability to read and follow directions. But if you seemingly feel like you have some cranky coworkers you’re not alone. North Carolina ranked in the top 10 for having some of the crankiest coworkers in the country.
So how does one make that determination? Well, ahead of National Cranky Co-Workers Day (October 27th) our friends at Gambling.com conducted a study on which states have the crankiest coworkers. To do this they analyzed online search term data related to people being unhappy with their job. This included “Bare Minimum Monday”, “Resignation Letter”, “Rage Applying”, “Excuses to get out of Work”, and “Quiet Quitting”.
North Carolina ranked 8th on the list with a total score of 51.2
- Bare Minimum Monday: 44
- Resignation Letter: 58
- Rage Applying: 25
- Excuses To Get Out Of Work: 85
- Quiet Quitting: 44
I actually have a friend who rage applied to a few jobs, got one from of those, and ended up moving to Florida. And while I do enjoy that I now have a free place to stay in Florida, I definitely wish she hadn’t made that decision! I find it very entertaining that we clearly are searching for excuses to get out of work. Have some good ones? Asking for a friend.
