Jumpman Invitational Brings College Basketball Royalty To Queen City

Christmas comes early this year for college basketball fans in Charlotte. According to the Charlotte Observer, teams from four of the most recognized Division I programs in the country will be playing in the inaugural Jumpman Invitational at Spectrum Center on December 20th and 21st.

The Jumpman Invitational offers four match-ups over two days featuring the first universities to sign partnership deals with Jordan Brand, a.k.a. Jumpman. The event will include the men’s and women’s teams from North Carolina, Michigan, Florida, and Oklahoma. Here’s the schedule:

Tuesday, December 20th

  • Michigan vs. North Carolina WOMEN at 7:00 p.m.
  • Florida vs. Oklahoma MEN at 9:30 p.m.

Wednesday, December 21st

  • Michigan vs. North Carolina MEN at 7:00 p.m.
  • Florida vs. Oklahoma WOMEN at 9:30 p.m.

Seats start at $45 for Tuesday’s games and $60 for Wednesday’s games. You can buy tickets and get the rest of the details HERE.

North Carolina One of the Top 5 States Producing the Most Pro Basketball Players

Are you working on your basketball skills? If so, you should keep on pushing cause you might have a chance of making it to the big leagues. Everyone enjoys bragging about professional athletes from their hometown or even their home state. North Carolina surely is no different.

Hoop Social conducted a study to determine the best and worst states for basketball players and the results are interesting. Although players may grow up in one place and attend school in another, repping your hometown is always a fan favorite. Of course, North Carolina made the top 5 for states producing the most professional basketball players per capita. Let’s be real here, we have Michael Jordan under our belt, of course, we made the list. Check out the top 20 states producing the most professional basketball players in 2022.
