Dishin’ With Debbie-Viral TikTok Butter Board
TikTok can’t stop talking about the viral Butter Board. What started as simply a unique approach to a charcuterie board, ended up taking the social media platform by storm. The viral TikTok Butter Board morphed into endless variations including sweet and savory. I decided to take a shot at making my own after combing through dozens of posts. I like that the post I modeled mine after used a combo of butter and goat cheese in a triangular design. And, I love adding fruit and some type of jam to a charcuterie board. Watch what happened when Dishin’ With Debbie tried the viral TikTok Butter Board.
Honestly, I meant to sprinkle fresh thyme over the top. In fact, I went to three different stores in search of it. However, I forgot to use it! It really does enhance the flavor tho’. So, if you decide to climb on board the butter board, the sky is the limit. Your board becomes your blank canvas to add whatever you want. And here’s just a few ideas I saw. Try a peanut butter and Nutella board with strawberries. Mini cinnamon bagels, apple slices or mini cookies make great dippers. Also, I like the notion of cookie butter in place of peanut butter. How about mini waffles to dip? I also saw a “Loaded Potato” board. Think about starting with cream cheese and adding cheese sauce, sour cream, bacon and chives. Serve with potato wedges. But the craziest one I saw was a “Buttercream Frosting” board. It’s a frosting base with sprinkles and chopped candy bars. Although I think that may be extreme even for an extreme concept! So, here’s the bottom line about the butter board. It was fun and creative. And it tasted good. So, I think I’ll probably do it again!
