Luxury Apartments and Food Hall Coming to Rock Hill
A historic textile mill in Rock Hill is going to have a fresh new look soon. According to WCNC, the Power House will turn an old textile mill into a food hall featuring restaurants, a brewery, and luxury apartments. Doors will open to this new project by the end of the year. WCNC, reports that The Sherbert Group, which specializes in older buildings, is overseeing the project. This is the same company that worked at the University Center at Knowledge Park.
The CEO of the Sherbert Group, Tara Sherbert, told WCNC, “Rock Hill is literally on fire. There’s so much going on here. You walk and drive through the community, and there’s dirt flying everywhere.” “There’s a lot of excitement in this community.”
Sherbert plans to keep some features of the old mill and bring a new life to it. The project is expected to be completed by the end of 2022. Multiple tenants have leased spaces, including Bareknuckle Barbershop. The luxury apartments will range from studios to three-story, three-bedroom units. WCNC reports that rent prices and apartment features have not been released at this time.
