There is a Lunchables Shortage and Parents Are Mad
Growing up Lunchables were my thing. My grandma always would buy me them for summer camp. Lunchables are pre-packaged meal kits featuring cheese, crackers, candy, and miniature versions of kid favorites. Lunchables feature cool mini-meals like nachos, make your pizza, and even hot dogs.
But I am sad to say my friends if you go to the grocery store you might have a hard time finding those special kits. Recently, I hit up the Harriss Teeter and two local Walmarts in the University area and could not find any! I was actually pretty bummed because for me Lunchables are a quick pick-me-up snack.
Kraft Heinz, the company that makes Lunchables told TODAY Food that they have seen an increase in demand for their product. Kraft Heinz assured Lunchables fans that when it comes to the shortage, they are on the case. “We’re actively investing in our supply chains and have teams working fast and furiously so our retailers and consumers can get more of the Kraft Heinz products they love, wherever they like to shop,” said the statement.
