Evelyn Lozada Refutes Claims That Carl Crawford Was Abusive To Her
Evelyn Lozada recently took to social media to refute claims that her ex-fiancé, Carl Crawford was abusive to her. “With all that’s going on in the world right now, I hate that I have to even address this… I will always be empathetic to ANYONE who has experienced any form of domestic violence and in NO WAY would I ever undermine anyone else’s alleged experience. That is their story to tell,” Lozada wrote on Instagram on Monday (June 8).
“However, after numerous calls, tweets, DM’s and bloggers claiming that I’ve said that my ex-fiancé, Carl Crawford, intimidated or physically hurt me, I felt I had to speak regarding my relationship with Carl. The Carl I’m hearing about lately is not the Carl I personally know. During our 4 Year engagement & while co-parenting our son, Carl has never been violent or threatening. We have a positive relationship.”
“Again, I take the time to speak on this for my son, who I never want to grow up and feel as if his father hurt his mother in any way. I also do this because I won’t allow bloggers looking for clicks to manipulate MY story and take away from those women who need their true stories heard. “Initially, I wasn’t going to say anything. Initially, I wasn’t going to comment because I feel like a lot of the times when there is something going on in Carl’s world my name tends to get thrown into anything that he has going on,” Lozada says in her video. “I understand that there are some people that are always going to connect us together because I’m his ex-fiance and we were together but after my team got their second and third phone call in connection to what happened last week, I had to say something.”
As we previously reported, Carl Crawford was arrested on a domestic violence charge, as The Shade Room reported. Crawford’s toddler’s mother told law enforcement that she and Crawford broke up back in February. However, he came to her residency in Houston in an attempt to reconcile on May 8 and allegedly got violent, choking her and slamming his child’s mother’s head repeatedly.
Crawford had been ordered per his bond agreement to have no contact with the alleged victim. The baseball star and record label executive is also being required to submit to drug and alcohol testing monthly, starting August 1, 2020, according to documents obtained by The Shade Room. Crawford had also been accused of pulling a semi-automatic handgun on her. The former couple allegedly met up and Crawford pushed her to the ground and choked her, while he held a gun.
Crawford had asked the woman about a male acquaintance, according to the documents. According to the woman, their child technically saved her, moving toward Crawford and her, allowing her to eventually escape and run to her apartment’s leasing office for assistance.
