Pier 1 Closing Many Carolina Locations

It's time to revise the "store footprint."

Pier 1 Imports plans to close up to 450 locations, nearly half of its stores. “Although decisions that impact our associates are never easy, reducing the number of our brick-and-mortar locations is a necessary business decision,” Pier 1 CEO and Chief Financial Officer Robert Riesbeck said in a news release. They always had such cool stuff.

I always loved to wander through Pier 1 stores when I was with my mother shopping. As a matter of fact, my circle chair was purchased from pier one and I'm 99% sure I gave a director chair to an ex-boyfriend. They always seemed to have pieces that you couldn't find anywhere else.
