A New Petition Calls For Adidas To Drop Kanye West
After Kanye West’s outbursts on Slavery on TMZ, a new petition has been released to drop the rapper from their brand.
After calling slavery “a choice” on TMZ, he tried to justify his comments, but the damage had already been done.
Care2‘s users are now asking Adidas to boycott the rapper, according to NME, citing his “dangerous” comments and to “rethink their lucrative deal.”
NME shares that “after the likes of Will.i.am hit out at West’s “hurtful” comments, he then took online to justify his remarks.
“We need to have open discussions and ideas on unsettled pain… to make myself clear,” he wrote. “Of course I know that slaves did not get shackled and put on a boat by free will.”
