If you’ve been on social media lately you’ve probably seen the Spirit Halloween memes. People are taking the generic Spirit Halloween plastic bag, you know the one, and creating their own costumes out of them. And there are some pretty good ones out there! But by far the best I’ve seen are the Charlotte specific Spirit Halloween memes. There are four costumes making the rounds right now on all the social media sites, especially for the Queen City. They cover your basic neighborhoods Myers Park, Plaza Midwood, and Southend. With a classic uptown office finance bro rounding it all out.
Chances are you know at least one or maybe all of these people. Or maybe you are one. And if so, hopefully, you can poke fun at yourself and get a little laugh. It’s all done in good fun! And if you need a last-minute costume like me, perhaps you can take one of these ideas and run with it. Save yourself the trip to Spirit Halloween and the $39.99 for a cheap costume you’ll never have another use for. The first one on this list is most likely going to be what I throw together Saturday night. Though people may question whether it’s a costume or just me in my natural state.
