LOS ANGELES, CA - APRIL 22: Letitia Wright attends the Los Angeles World Premiere of Marvel Studios' "Avengers: Endgame" at the Los Angeles Convention Center on April 23, 2019 in Los Angeles, California.

Black Panther: Wakanda Forever star Letitia Wright’s unvaccinated status may lead to further delaying the sequel of the Marvel film.

The production was recently halted by Wright as she was recovering from an injury while performing a stunt on set and went back home to London. However, since the production is stateside, new CDC guidelines implemented on Nov. 8 are now requiring all non-immigrant, non-citizens flying to the U.S. to be fully vaccinated against COVID-19 and give proof of their vaccination status before they board a plane to the country per The Hollywood Reporter. Wright is neither vaccinated nor a U.S. citizen which could complicate production per CBR.

The actress plays Shuri, who stars as the younger sister of the late Chadwick Boseman’s T’ Challa. Wright received backlash last year when she reposted a controversial video from YouTube to Twitter as the speaker explained their skepticism of getting vaccinated. YouTube has since taken the video off of their site.

Fans are calling to recast the actress due to her unvaccinated status. Check out some of the reactions from fans:
