South Carolina Man Eats Out Every Day Gaining Followers, Not Pounds For Just $100 A Week
There’s a guy with my dream job. This South Carolina man eats out every day. And, he’s managed to gain quite the following on social media, without gaining all those pesky pounds. But, how does he do it? More importantly, how does he afford it?
South Carolina Man Eats Out Every Day Let’s Meet Him
According to The Sun News, David McGaha of Conway, South Carolina decided to post on Facebook each time he tries a new restaurant. He documents his foodie adventures, keeping it local as this South Carolina man eats out every day. And, sometimes, he tries multiple spots in one day, all the while spending only $100 a week.
And although, like many of us, McGaha has posted his food journey for years, his food posts became more frequent around the pandemic. Now, this self-employed woodworker is so popular he often gets recognized out and about spots in Horry County, Murrells Inlet and Garden City as the South Carolina man eats out every day.
McGaha owns his own business. So, that might explain why he has discretionary income for frequent dining out. However, even going on the cheap, how does someone only spend $100 a week dining out every day. Well, he says he doesn’t keep track, and that’s his estimate. I’m thinking if he really put pen to paper it might be more. But, I am in a position that requires counting every single penny. And, there aren’t many to count!
And, as this South Carolina man eats out every day, McGaha reportedly once tried to enforce a $50 a week budget for his habit. But, apparently, that didn’t pan out. Thus, he upped it to $100 or thereabouts.
Plus, he doesn’t feel the need to keep track of the caloric intake either. He’s not really a ‘dieter’, and he loves to eat. I identify with you David! According to McGaha, his family are all big eaters. And, he doesn’t feel the waistline pinch from his adventures. He’s just one of the lucky ones.
However, I think we all know deep down that eating restaurant food every day can eventually take its toll on the body even if it doesn’t show with a weight gain. But, the Conway man doesn’t like leftovers. So, don’t expect him to ask for a doggie bag. He’s finishing it!
Where We Ate On Our Recent Visit To Surfside Beach
We were just in that same area this past weekend. And, there are lots of great spots to grab a bite. We fell in love with Pizza Hyena not too far from Ocean Lakes Family Campground. We also enjoyed neighboring restaurant The Gracious Pig. And, we plan on trying nearby Chimichanga Llama next time!
