Charlotte DJ Joins DJs At the Polls to Celebrate Voting and Increase Voter Turnout
It’s another presidential election year and we’re gearing up for election season across the U.S. Many are finding ways to support candidates that represent their views, but many are also wanting to push another objective… voter turnout. We have all seen it… people walking around making sure to get everyone in their community registered ahead of the elections.
DJs at the Polls
Well, there’s been a new movement pushing for voter turnout. It’s DJs at the Polls! DJs at the Polls was founded on the belief that voting is something to be celebrated. The program places DJs in densely populated urban areas with large numbers of underrepresented voters to celebrate citizens who come to the polls.
Wondering if it’s happening here in Charlotte. Yes, it is. Power 98’s very own, DJ Buttafingaz, will be one of the DJs at the poll this year. He is hoping to help push the need for voter turnout during an important election season. This year make sure to be prepared for the upcoming election.
