There are a lot of things that factor into the success of college football programs. Winning games is obviously a huge part of that and winning is the biggest of games. But another important piece, especially to recruits, is the potential for a future NFL career. Even the highest-rated high school players are not ready to play professionally yet. Good programs develop their players and get them ready to play at the highest level. But what North Carolina college has the most NFL players?

There are 8 universities currently representing North Carolina in the NFL. Unsurprisingly, the ones with the most players are the four schools that play in the ACC, the only Power 5 conference represented in the state. All four of those schools have double-digit players in the league. And they have some good ones. The Carolina Panthers’ first-round draft pick Ikem Ekwanu was out of NC State. Additionally, there are several quarterbacks Russell Wilson (NC State), Mitch Trubisky (UNC), Daniel Jones (Duke), Jacoby Brissett (NC State), and Sam Howell (UNC) currently on rosters.

Action Network did the work for us and compiled a ranking of which North Carolina school has the most current representation when it comes to NFL players. And as an alumni of that school and longtime football season ticket holder, I couldn’t be more proud!
