North Carolina Thieves Steal $1500 Worth Of Fuel
Gas prices are at an all-time high right now, and some North Carolina thieves reportedly stole nearly 300 gallons, or $1,500 worth, of fuel from a gas station in Cary, North Carolina.
The owner of the Quality Mart and Shell station in Cary near the intersection of Ten Ten Road and Kildaire Farm Road told WRAL that hundreds of gallons of premium gas were stolen from his store this past Sunday.
These weren’t just petty thieves though, the gas station owner reports that these North Carolina thieves knew what they were doing and were professionals. A dark green SUV pulling a trailer drove up the underground tank and stole nearly 300 gallons of gas during a two-hour period. All of this was caught on camera! You can see the photos here.
A “sudden loss alarm” was triggered in the early morning. According to the owner, the station had 4,862 gallons of gas when it closed on Saturday night. The alarm was triggered when levels had dropped to 4,570 gallons.
The owner is hoping that someone will see the vehicles in the photos and have information to come forward with to the authorities. Cary police are still investigating.
