I’ve never flown with one of my pets before, but I’ve considered it. I always wondered what it would be like and if the airline would be accommodating.

People love their pets like family and lately searches for ‘pet-friendly airlines in cabin’ have increased by 950% in the last 12 months. Thanks to NextVacy, a list of the most pet-friendly airlines you can fly is listed below.

The methodology used for this study was Google search trends data was analyzed to reveal searches relating to travel cancellation over the last 12 months. You can see more here. Alaska Airlines is one of the most pet-friendly airlines. Not only does it have one of the lowest fees ($100) for pets but has one of the most flexible policies.

A customer can travel with a maximum of 2 pet carriers in the main cabin, only when the adjacent seat is purchased by the same customer. Up to 2 pets of the same species and similar size may travel in the same carrier. Pets allowed in the passenger cabin are dogs, cats, rabbits, and household birds. Dogs and cats must be at least 8 weeks old and must be accustomed to taking solid food and have done so, without nursing, for a period of at least 5 days. Way to go Alaska Airlines!
