Merry Midwood Market and Tree Lighting Set for Dec. 8
Guests can enjoy several festive features at the market:
- Local vendors offering handmade, one-of-a-kind holiday gifts
- A Christmas ornament creation station, sponsored by the Plaza Midwood Neighborhood Association
- A homemade s’mores station
- A pop-up food station with The Improper Pig
- Holiday drinks from the Spirits of Alchemy
- A letter-writing station for kids to create their wish lists for Santa
Santa arrives for visits with children at 4 p.m., and the Christmas tree lighting follows at 6:30 p.m.
“The Merry Midwood Market and tree lighting is a wonderful way for the Plaza Midwood community to come together and kick off the holiday season,” said Erin Hunter, a spokesperson for the Plaza Midwood Merchants Association, in an interview with WCCB-TV. “We’re thrilled to host this annual tradition and invite everyone to join us for a day of festive fun.”
Parking for the Merry Midwood Market and tree lighting is available throughout the Plaza Midwood business district and its neighborhoods.
