Cardi B Shares Heartfelt Birth Video For Baby No. 3: ‘She’s Little’
Cardi B posted a touching behind-the-scenes video showing the arrival of her third baby on Saturday, Sept. 7. The TikTok clip featured the newborn’s cries and captured her just moments after birth.
Cardi B’s estranged husband Offset, who was the subject of her divorce filing in July, was seen in the delivery room wrapping the baby in a blanket while she rested in her mother’s arms. The musician also held the newborn on his chest in a chair before Cardi shared a sweet Facetime call with their eldest daughter, Kulture.
“Look at baby sister,” Cardi said as she presented her new arrival to the screen. “Hi mommy,” Kulture responded with a smile. “Is the baby sleeping?,” Kulture asked, to which Cardi replied, “Yeah, she’s little.”
“Mommy, I’m gonna come there okay?” Kulture told her mother.
Additional clips of Cardi and her baby appeared before a shot of the tiny tot’s footprint was taken.
Cardi and Offset were then shown with their daughters and son Wave in the hospital room, holding their new baby girl.
Cardi’s new video comes after she shared a carousel of photos following the arrival of her daughter.
Cardi’s latest video follows a carousel of photos she shared after her daughter’s birth. Her caption read, “The prettiest lil thing [two pink flower emojis] 9/7/24 [three heart emojis],” as she smiled while cradling her baby. She also included a breastfeeding photo and one of her appearing emotional while lying in the hospital bed. Cardi had announced in early August that she was expecting her third baby.
Since revealing the arrival of baby number three, Cardi B has already started working out. She posted on Instagram Story, showing her completing thirty minutes on the Stairmaster machine. Surrounded by her kids, Cardi hit the gym in a black tank top and matching workout leggings. She shared a selfie video of her workout and a picture of Kulture napping on her gym equipment.
She added to her post, “No heavy lifting, no weight just straight stair master until next week and I start with @fitking_plem.” The rapper reminded fans, “Remember ladies this is my third baby …with my other 2 babies I was still on bedrest on my first week postpartum.”
Some fans quickly criticized Cardi for not allowing her body to heal, while others praised her for diving back into workouts. For those curious about postpartum exercise, the American Society of Obstetricians and Gynecologists (ACOG) advises starting light walking within a few days of a normal vaginal delivery. Generally, they recommend 150 minutes of moderate-intensity activity per week, equating to about 20 to 30 minutes of walking per day, but it’s important to gradually work up to this level.
