Alligator Found Outside a Woman’s Apartment in Michigan
Well, this falls under the “strange but true” department. An alligator was found “wandering” outside a woman’s apartment building in Michigan. Normally alligator and Michigan do not fall in the same sentence. What in the world is going on here?
United Press International breaks it down for us. A lady from Michigan came face to face with an unusual situation. She looked outside her apartment building and spotted an alligator which has no business in Michigan.
The Romulus, Michigan police department said via their social media that the confused woman called the police to report an “alligator or crocodile” wandering around outside her building. Dispatchers reportedly asked her to send a picture of the critter and she did. This was proof that there was indeed an alligator outside. Officers sent a professional trapper to take care of the situation.

The Smithsonian National Zoo sits on 163 acres in the heart of Washington, D.C.’s Rock Creek Park. Founded in 1889, the Zoo is currently home to more than 2,700 animals representing more than 390 species. Like all Smithsonian museums, admission is free.
