“Non Human” Hand Washes Up On The Beach
This one is leaving a lot of people confused. Scientists have confirmed that a “hand” that washed up on a Brazilian beach is not human. Images show the hand side by side with the finder’s flip flop showing the massive size. , which is what led them to believe it came from some other creature. Leticia Gomes Santiago is the one who stumbled upon the hand when on a walk with her boyfriend. She posted the images to Facebook. Her caption reads “Today me and my boyfriend Devanir Souza r walking along the beach here on Ilha Culprida we found this “species” of hand we think is not human because of the size and amount of phalanxes. What will it be after all??”
The New York Post reports that Eric Comin, a marine biologist, believes it to be part of a cetacean most likely a dolphin. Cetaceans are a family of animals including dolphins, porpoises, and whales. This guess is based on the size of the hand. And it’s most likely not a hand but a flipper that washed up on the beach. Though Comin says more testing is required to tell exactly what type of animal the appendage belongs to.
