Raleigh Makes Top 3 For ‘The Best Places To Live In The U.S.’
Choosing the right place to live isn’t simple, but “U.S. News & World Report” is trying to make the decision a little easier.
- The mag has come out with their annual list of the Best Places to Live in the U.S.
- The mag ranked the 150 largest metropolitan areas based on affordability, job prospects, and desirability, with the ranking determined partly by a public survey of thousands of individuals across the U.S.
- They also looked at data from the United States Census Bureau, the Federal Bureau of Investigation, the Bureau of Labor Statistics, and more.
- Coming out on top for the second year in a row is Boulder, Colorado, which earned an overall score of 7.6 out of 10.
- Boulder earned high scores for quality of life (8.2), job market (8.5), and desirability (8.5).
- Cities making huge drops on the list this year include Las Vegas, NV, which dropped 13 spots to 31, mostly due to unemployment rates, San Diego, which fell 52 spots to 97, and Honolulu, Hawaii, which dropped 42 spots to 113.
