ACC Baseball Tournament To Be Played In Charlotte With 100% Capacity
After having the season cut short last year, the ACC College Baseball Tournament will return to Truist Field at 100% capacity. In a statement yesterday, the ACC announced that the tournament, to be held May 25-30, will be at full capacity. This news comes as Governor Cooper removed all capacity limits last week.
“Following North Carolina Governor Roy Cooper’s recent announcement lifting mass gathering limits, the Atlantic Coast Conference, in conjunction with the Charlotte Knights, announced Tuesday that the 2021 Baseball Championship will operate at full capacity.”
Atrium Health will also be on-site at the tournament providing vaccines to attendees. Vaccines will be available from 10 am to 4 pm Tuesday through Friday. Anyone receiving a vaccine will get free admission to that day’s games.
Carolina teams Duke, North Carolina, NC State, and Clemson will all participate in the tournament. Other teams are Virginia, Virginia Tech, Florida State, Georgia Tech, Louisville, Miami, Notre Dame, and Pitt. The winner will get the ACC Title and an automatic bid to the national tournament. The championship game will be played on May 30th.
