I Bought A $1 Float and Took It Down Wilson Creek in the Pisgah National Forest
And actually, it didn’t turn out as bad as I originally thought it would.
I had this bright idea a few weeks ago that I wanted to go back in time to a fond childhood memory and go river tubing again. So, I did the only logical thing and went searching for a tube that I could take on my water adventure.
I didn’t want to spend a lot, so I figured the dollar store was the best place to go. I splurged and purchased two, in case one popped, and I was ready to go. After weeks of waiting because of our rather rainy weather, I finally got the opportunity to go river tubing and chose Wilson Creek located in the Pisgah National Forest as my river race track.
This is how it went…
Overall, I recommend buying a tube that isn’t $1. I think I kept felling out for the following reasons:
- My butt couldn’t fit in the tube
- I’m now pretty sure I purchased a child’s tube
- I blew the tube up with my mouth and it kept deflating
I have since purchased a ready…$5 tube from Walmart, that is made for river-tubing. I will be taking a shot at concurring the river yet again this weekend and I am pumped. You can see more about exploring Wilson Creek and create your adventure here.
