Charlotte To Get A 220-Acre “Central Park”
Here’s some good news to look forward to!
Renderings have just been released for a 220-acre space that will transform Charlotte’s industrial rail yard into a massive park.
The park will be called, “Queens Park” and organizers say, “Queens Park will be the largest and most diverse park within the City,”
The park will be situated at the intersection of the Cross-Charlotte Trail, the Lynx Blue Line, the Rail Trail, and North Tryon Street, and will offer plenty of new opportunities. While a completion day is not yet announced, the renderings definitely have me excited!
Organizers are asking supporters to post to social media using the hashtag #Tracks2Trees. The public also can show their support by ordering a Queen’s Park t-shirt, donating to the group, or signing up to volunteer on its website.
