George Floyd Memorial Happening This Saturday In NC; Here Are The Details
The murder of George Floyd has sparked outrage in America, and around the world. For the past week, protests have been happening here in Charlotte, and all over in support of the Black Lives Matter movement.
Now it is time to honor George Floyd. The memorial services will take place in three separate cities over 6 days, and one of those services will take place in North Carolina. I was unaware of this, but George Floyd was actually born in NC 46 years ago.
Here are the details about the North Carolina service:
- Saturday, June 6th
- 11 a.m. to 1 p.m.
- It will be held at Cape Fear Conference B Headquarters (Located at 10225 Fayetteville Road, Raeford NC 28376)
- A private memorial will follow.
Most media outlets will be covering the first memorial service, that is taking place in Minneapolis, so there will plenty of opportunities to watch that. I’m sure there will also be covered and live streams of the service in NC on Saturday that you’ll be able to watch too.
