Arborist at NC Zoo Dies After Falling From Tree
Terrible news comes to us today. Our prayers are with the family.
A statement was released from the North Carolina Zoo just a few hours ago on Thursday, July 18th, 2019. Zoo officials said an arborist, who was working for the zoo, was engaged in an aerial rescue drill when they fell 20-30 feet from a tree.
We are truly sadden to hear of this terrible accident.
The Zoo has since closed the Africa section of the park to the public and will close the entire park today at 2 p.m. People leaving are being given free tickets to return another day.
