Things To Do During Charlotte’s NBA All-Star Week
The Queen City is about to be filled with 150,000 visitors!
There will be people filing the streets this week for the 2019 NBA All-Star Game! There will be at least 1,800 media personnel in addition to our visitors. The city is expecting to make $100 million from this week alone. As far as public transportation, the Spectrum Light Rail station will be closing at 5 pm this weekend. Expect a security sweep when you get off at the 3rd and 7th Street Stations.
Here are some things to do during the weekend and if you need some attire to show off during these events, locations for the pop-up stores include Spectrum Center, Epicentre and Bojangles’ Coliseum.
Friday
- NBA All-Star Celebrity Game kicks off at 7 pm at the Bojangles Coliseum
- MTN DEW ICE Rising Stars kicks off at 9 pm at the Spectrum Center
Saturday
- NBA All-Star Practice & Media Day kicks off at 9 am at the Bojangles Coliseum
- Lunch With A Legend kicks off at 11 am at the Charlotte Convention Center
- State Farm All-Star Saturday Night kicks off at 6:30 pm at the Spectrum Center
Sunday
- Pre-Game Hospitality kicks off at 5 pm at the Charlotte Convention Center
- 68th NBA All-Star Game kicks off at 8 pm at the Spectrum Center
