Here’s What Ron Rivera Thinks About His Player Kneeling
Carolina Panthers head coach Ron Rivera doesn’t want to discuss Eric Reid’s kneeling during the National Anthem.
Just recently, the Panthers and ex-49er, Eric Reid, came to an agreement on an NFL contract. Reid has been unemployed for the last 4 weeks waiting around for a contract but teams have looked elsewhere due to what seems to be him refusing to stand during the National Anthem. Now that may not be the direct reasoning behind him not landing a deal, but that seems to make the most sense.
In Reid’s first game as a Panther against the Giants in Charlotte, Graham Gano hit a 63-yard field goal with 6 seconds left to win the game in a thriller.

When head coach Ron Rivera was pulled in for a post-game interview, Rivera made it clear that he didn’t want to take about Reid exercising his first amendment rights.
