Latto has enlisted Cardi B for her "Put It On Da Floor" remix. The Georgia native teased the collaboration on her Instagram Wednesday (May 31) as she "ripped" Cardi B "out the plastic" using one of her viral lines from the hit song.
"I put it on the floor, and, now, I’m ’bout to put it on the floor again. Remix this Friday!" Latto said in the clip. "Rip her out the plastic! She been acting brand new!" Cardi added: "Put it on the floor bitch."
The "Put It On Da Floor" remix marks the first collaboration between Latto and Cardi B. The song also serves as Cardi's first release of 2023. Last year, the Grammy winner released one lead song which was "Hot S---" which included Chicago-bred emcees Kanye West and Lil Durk. Cardi also hopped on Rosalía’s "Despechá" remix and "Tomorrow 2" (with GloRilla), which peaked at No. 9.

As for Latto, she released "Lottery" featuring Lu Kala and she hopped on Lola Brooke's "Don’t Play With It" remix with Yung Miami.
While Cardi and Latto have not worked together previously, Latto has always shown the utmost respect for the Bronx rapper's artistry.
"I did Rolling Loud Miami in 2018ish…I was one of the openers," Latto said in a 2022 interview per HipHopDX “It was 3 p.m. hot as hell, and I waited all the way to the end for Cardi B to perform, and I stuck around in the hot sun, and I was like ‘nah, I gotta see Cardi perform,’ and I just seen her like put on a show. Like, it was actual entertainment. Dancers, choreography.”
She continued, "She really had me entertained to where I wasn’t caring about the heat or standing on my feet all day. I was entertained. So I took that and ran with it like 'You know what? I wanna put on a show too.'"
Latto (formerly known as Mulatto), came onto the rap scene in 2015 when she was the inaugural winner of the Lifetime reality series The Rap Game. Since then, the self-proclaimed "Queen of Da Souf" has made her own lane. The Georgia native released her debut album Queen of Da Souf in 2020 where hits "Muwop" featuring Gucci Mane and "B*tch From Da Souf" remix assisted by Saweetie and Trina stood out as fan favorites. In 2021, Latto received her first platinum hit and continues to link up on tracks with her peers.
