Have you ever watched Diners, Drive-Ins, and Dives on the Food Network? Guy Fieri has been all over the world, including right here in South Carolina on the show! The show shows Guy Fieri traveling around the country trying out different restaurants in different cities. A mixture of the best diners, drive-ins, and dives in small and large cities in the area. Some local restaurants have been granted the stamp of approval from the Food Network show!

Many restaurants after they get the Guy Fieri stamp of approval on the show, business starts to boom! We have seen some of these chefs continue on from this show to Guy’s Grocery Games, Tournament of Champions, and other Food Network shows. It’s the perfect opportunity for any restaurant.

We were able to find all of the South Carolina restaurants that were ever featured on the show by going to flavortownusa.com. Unfortunately, not all of the restaurants that have been featured on the show made it to today.

The below restaurants have been closed since their episode airing:

  • Dixie Supply Bakery and Cafe (Charleston, SC)
  • Farmer’s Shed (Lexington, SC)
  • Perfectly Frank’s (Summerville, SC)

So, we went and put together this list of all of the restaurants that appeared on the show. This is your chance to check it out and see which spots you want to give a try in South Carolina. We have updated this list as of April 2024 to be sure that the list includes those that are still open at this time. Check out the list below and tell us any spots that you may have visited yourself.

  • Beacon Drive-In (Spartanburg, SC)

    The Beacon Drive-In is one of those famous spots in the Spartanburg area. Spartanburg is not a big city vibe, but the food options can be very tasty! The restaurant has been open since 1946 and is famously known for its chili cheese a-plenty. It’s a chili cheeseburger buried underneath a great amount of sweet onion rings and french fries. Talk about a mouth full!

  • The Glass Onion (Charleston, SC)

    The Glass Onion is located in Charleston, South Carolina has been open since 2008 and is located deep in the Charleston area. The menu features food items from many areas such as Alabama, New Orleans, and of course, the Lowcountry area. Their menu offers options like shrimp dip, NC chicken liver mousse, cornmeal fried catfish, and more!

  • The Early Bird Diner (Charleston, SC)

    Early Bird Diner has been serving up great breakfasts since 2008 in the Charleston area. They serve both breakfast and lunch each day and located in the West Ashley part of the Charleston area. The menu features items such as spicy honey fried chicken biscuits, pecan fried chicken tenders, meatloaf, grits, and fried okra.

  • Tattooed Moose (Charleston, SC)

    Tattooed Moose is located in Charleston, South Carolina and of course, the culinary scene is so phenomenal. They are the home of Mike’s Famous Duck Club known to locals and visitors who have heard of the restaurant.  While Fieri was visiting he tried it and said, “The duck is tender, the bread plays into it perfectly,  nice big fat tomatoes,  the veggies work in…the garlic aioli…I wouldn’t change a thing on it: this is money! Mmm!”

  • Pawley's Front Porch (Columbia, SC)

    Head on over to the state’s capital, Columbia, and take a visit to Pawley’s Front Porch. This local favorite is famous for burgers, their beer, and an overall good time. The menu features items such as fried oysters, fried crawfish tails, burgers, hot dogs, catfish, wraps, and more. Their burgers have cool names with tons of fresh ingredients. One of the most well-known is The Sullivan which is a burger with grilled pineapple, guacamole, citrus jalapeño mayonnaise, lettuce, tomato, red onion, and pepper jack cheese. Would you give it a try?

  • Harold's Restaurant (Gaffney, SC)

    Harold’s Restaurant is located in Gaffney, South Carolina, and home to a great all-you-can-eat platter. The restaurant was established in 1932 and is a great spot for the entire family. Enjoy some of your favorite classics like fried chicken, hot dogs, corn dogs, chili burgers, and more!
