Are you going on a road trip anytime soon? If so, then you might be interested in some must-see destinations along the way. One of the most popular road trips for the Carolinas is from here to Ohio. I have always had one question, why? But it seems to be people from the Ohio area who do indeed enjoy the Carolinas. Whether it is moving or visiting family, that drive is pretty frequent for tons of people. Besides that though, there are many states in between that drive that you can also take.

Seaside Vacations wants you to enjoy the full 10-hour drive. Who said road trips can’t be fun? Don’t just make it a straight drive, have some fun with it. They compiled a list of some of the must-visit places on the road from Ohio to Myrtle Beach. Let’s see what is on the list!

  • CLAY CENTER - Charleston, West Virginia

As soon as you cross the Ohio border and enter West Virginia, make your way to Charleston and stop at the Clay Center. The Clay Center is an art and discovery museum all wrapped into one. You can also check out the Juliet Art Museum while you’re there. I mean who doesn’t enjoy a fun museum?  Something for the kids and adults to enjoy during this pit stop.

  • Fort Chiswell Animal Park, Max Meadows, Virginia

Now this is certainly added to my must see list as well. Fort Chriswell Animal Park is not your average zoo, but it is the chance for everyone to get up close and personal to some of your favorite animals. You can even get on the safari bus and take a ride to see camels, buffalos, and more! They are open from April to November, so if you’re planning a spring or summer road trip this will be perfect.

  • Southwest Virginia Farmer's Market - Hillsville, Virginia

Looking for some fun in Virginia? Why not head to the farmer’s market? This is one of the largest farmer’s markets in the state. Not only will you get some fresh and tasty food, but you can cure that road trip craving.

  • Riverside Park - Mt. Airy, North Carolina

Stretch those legs and feel the kiss of the sun when you pit stop in North Carolina. Visit Riverside Park and stroll along the walking trail and river view for a nice little break. They have local vendors that you can try out including some ice cream in case its hot out and you need something to cool down. Want to get the kids a little tired? Let them play on the playground set a bit and have them asleep soon as you get back on the interstate.

  • Cin Cin Burger Bar - Winston Salem, North Carolina

Of course you got to grab a bite of food when you’re in the Tar Heel state. Not only can you enjoy a tasty meal, but one of the best bites you will probably on the entire ride. Cin Cin Burger Bar is a speakeasy type of restaurant serving up trendy drinks, appetizers, burgers, and creamy milkshakes. Talk about tasty!

  • YOU'VE MADE IT!

You’ve finally made it to Myrtle Beach! Whoot, whoot! Have fun if you’re on vacation and if your back home then it’s finally time to relax after that long of a road trip.
