Ever sit and think about what happened to all the good sitcoms? From Martin to A Different World to My Wife & Kids, we learned so much from those shows. Today, we all enjoy watching reruns of some of our favorite sitcoms that helped get us through. Once Black sitcoms truly took off, there was no turning back. Networks, fans, and the industry started to see the impact they were having on us all.

From recent spin-offs, reunions, and reruns we never let any of these shows go. From laughs to lessons learned, the scripts were able to show another side of the culture that was never represented on television before. As a 90s baby, I still rewatch sitcoms by myself or with my family like it’s the first time viewing them. These sitcoms paved the way for the careers of some of our favorite stars to also great reboots happening today. So grab your popcorn, the remote, and enjoy this list of some of my favorite Black sitcoms. Trust me, 10/10 recommend them all!
