Drake leads his peers with 14 nominations at the 2022 BET Hip Hop Awards. Following the “Certified Lover Boy” is Kanye West coming in second with 10 nominations and Kendrick Lamar with nine.

The Honestly, Nevermind MC is up for Hip Hop Artist Of The Year, Hustler Of The Year, Lyricist Of The Year, Best Live Performer, and Hip Hop album of the Year, to name a few. Drake has three nominations in the Best Collaboration category starting with his “Way 2 Sexy” featuring Future and Young Thug and “Jimmy Cooks” featuring 21 Savage. His last nomination in the category is his guest appearance on Future’s “Wait for You” (also featuring Tems) which is also nominated for Best Hip Hop Video, and Song Of The Year, in addition to Best Collaboration. Drake’s verse on Jack Harlow’s “Churchill Downs” secured him a nod in the Best Featured Verse category.

Like Drake, Ye has earned nominations in the same categories: Hip Hop Artist Of The Year, Hustler Of The Year, Best Live performer, Hip Hop Album Of The Year, Best Hip Hop Video, Best Collaboration, Song Of The Year, and Best Featured Verse categories. He’s also nominated for Producer Of The Year and Impact Track for “City of Gods” with Fivio Foreign and Alicia Keys.

Kendrick’s nine nods are for Best Live Performer, Lyricist of the Year, Hip Hop Album of the Year, Hip Hop Artist of the Year, twice for Impact Track, Video Director of the Year, Best Hip Hop Video, and Best Collaboration.

Following are Future with eight nods and Baby Keem, Cardi B and J. Cole tie for six nods each.

Fat Joe will be hosting this year’s award show. “This will be the biggest award show in history,” Fat Joe told the Billboard previously. “It’s truly an honor to host and produce the BET Hip Hop Awards, and I can’t thank (BET EVP) Connie (Orlando) and the entire BET family enough for this opportunity.”

“We’re going to celebrate music, culture, and entertainment, honor the biggest and brightest stars in the world, and make this an unforgettable night full of laughs and surprises. Always remember that yesterday’s host is not today’s host.”

The 2022 BET Hip Hop Awards will be taped at Atlanta’s Cobb Energy Centre on Friday, Sept. 30 and will premiere on air Tuesday, Oct. 4, at 9 p.m. ET/PT on BET.
