We could all use a little vacation now and again (or all the time!). Sometimes a trip to a busy city and staying in a nice hotel is what you're craving. But other times you may crave the simplicity of staying in a bed and breakfast. Bed and breakfasts are often quaint, relaxing, and offer a different type of pampering and luxury service. They often take you to charming small towns and allow you to slow down and enjoy a change of pace. Luckily for us, North Carolina is home to some wonderful beds & breakfasts.
Whether you want to be in the heart of the city, the mountains, or the beach there is something for you in our state. One of my favorite aspects of staying in a bed and breakfast is they are often housed in historic homes. I love the details and atmosphere as well as the stories that live in the walls. Plus while some hotels offer complimentary breakfast having a home-cooked meal, and often happy hour as well, makes the stay that much sweeter.
