Square-Enix has been making games that have lightly touched on issues of gender and sexuality going all the way back to 1992 with the character Ferris in Final Fantasy V. So should we expect the Final Fantasy VII Remake to treat the Honey Bee in sequence, where the main character Cloud cross-dresses in order to save a fellow hero, to treat this scene with a degree of reverence, respect or even tact?
