Kristy's Creole Kitchen will shift from its Wesley Heights ghost kitchen to a brick-and-mortar spot at 1300 South Blvd. in South End this April. Takeout orders are done. The change brings sit-down dining with a bar.

According to the Charlotte Observer, owner Kristy Jackson shared news through Instagram. "I am excited to announce that because of your unwavering support and the favor of God, I am standing in the new hall of KCS, opening in April in the South End of Charlotte, where you can not only get your favorite bite, but you can wash it down with some classic cocktails," Jackson said in a video.

The spot once held Mazi, a Mediterranean place that opened in March 2025 and shuttered by July 2025. It sits on a strip of South Boulevard near Tabris co-working space and Sushi Taku.

Jackson started at City Kitch, a shared kitchen at 2200 Thrift Road. She ran pickup and delivery only. Louisiana-style cooking from old family recipes built her a crowd.

The menu has Creole Seafood Gumbo, Crawfish Etoufee, Bourbon Street Salmon Bites, and Bayou Crab Claws. Zydeco Fries get piled with fried crawfish and shrimp, then drizzled in creole cream sauce. Po'boys and burgers show up next to Cajun fried chicken, dirty rice, and red beans with rice.

April brings craft cocktails. Jackson wants to keep what fans love from City Kitch but add drinks that work for tables.

South End restaurants haven't lasted long lately. The Factory South block where this space lives has watched several concepts try and fail to stick around.

The website calls it "authentic Louisiana flavors crafted from generations of family recipes." Jackson has mentioned the move lets her show off those traditions in a place where bigger groups can gather and eat together.

Customers can check social media for the exact opening date. The City Kitch operation at 2200 Thrift Road stays open for orders while construction wraps up in South End.
