Two new programs at Bobby's Burgers turn meals into support for schools and food banks. The restaurant chain started working with GiftAMeal and Force4Good at their spots in Charlotte, North Carolina, and Orem, Utah.

"Giving back starts close to home," said Michael McGill, president of Bobby's Burgers, to WCCB Charlotte. "These programs allow our guests and neighbors the opportunity to provide direct support where they live."

Through Force4Good, student groups can host events at the restaurants. The program supplies promotional materials: flyers, online content, and web pages. Groups receive twenty percent of sales during their events, which goes straight to their cause.

"At Force4Good, our mission is to make fundraising as easy and impactful as possible," said Steven Cook, founder of Force4Good. "We're proud to partner with Bobby's Burgers to give local schools and community groups the tools they need to raise meaningful funds."

With GiftAMeal, a simple photo turns into food for those in need. Diners scan a code, snap their meal, and share it online. Each shared picture sends food to the Second Harvest Food Bank of Metrolina in Charlotte or the Utah Food Bank in Orem.

"Partnering with Bobby's Burgers means we can make an even greater difference," said Andrew Gantz, founder of GiftAMeal. "Together, we'll help serve families in Charlotte and Orem while making it easy for guests to provide a meal to those in need."

The money helps fund everything from chess matches to science fairs. Kids can join band practice or take trips to museums. Schools sign up through the Bobby's Burgers website to start raising funds.

As students return for fall classes, both programs have kicked into action. Groups interested in planning events can find details on the restaurant's site.
