Next month, aspiring baseball stars will take the field at the 6th Annual Diversity in Baseball HBCU Showcase. The two-day event brings fresh talent to Charlotte's Richard "Stick" Williams Dream Fields & Education Center.

Starting at 8:00 a.m. sharp, the Knothole Foundation welcomes athletes to intensive training sessions. Young players sprint through drills while expert coaches watch their every move. The morning air crackles with energy as bats crack and gloves pop.

Day two shifts into full-speed action with live games. Between innings, students gather for "Lunch & Learn" meetings. These quick breaks pack in tips about both sports and life skills that matter off the field.

Sharp-eyed scouts from Black colleges scan the diamond, searching for tomorrow's stars. This gathering acts as a vital step for teens aiming to catch attention from HBCU teams.

Want to join in? The Knothole Carolinas site lists everything needed to take part. They've cut through the red tape to make signing up quick and clear.

Six summers straight, this showcase has lit up Charlotte's baseball scene. Year after year, it builds stronger links between talented kids and college programs that could change their lives.
