There are many exciting events taking place in Charlotte this weekend. Residents and visitors can enjoy a traditional fair with exhilarating rides, live performances, and tasty food, attend an art and culture festival, or catch a stand-up performance by a nationally known comic. With outdoor activities, live entertainment, and more, there are many ways to celebrate Charlotte's vibrant scene.

Charlotte Fair

  • What: Charlotte Fair
  • When: 4 to 11 p.m. on Friday, April 11, 2025; 1 to 11 p.m. on Saturday, April 12, 2025; and 1 to 10 p.m. on Sunday, April 13, 2025
  • Where: Charlotte Motor Speedway, 6558 Bruton Smith Blvd., Concord, NC 28027
  • Cost: Tickets are $12 for adults ages 12 and over and $8 for children. Admission is free for children ages four and under. With the early-bird discount, tickets are $8 for adults and $5 for children. Admission is $10 for active-duty and retired military personnel and anyone 60 or older. Ticket packages are available for purchase at the event and online.

Charlotte SHOUT!

  • When: 4 to 10 p.m. on Friday, April 11, 2025; 10 a.m. to 10 p.m. on Saturday, April 12, 2025; and 11 a.m. to 8:30 p.m. on Sunday, April 13, 2025
  • Where: Various locations throughout Uptown Charlotte, including Victoria Yards, Discovery Place, The Green, McColl Center, First Ward Park, and more 
  • Cost: Most events are free

Charlotte SHOUT! is a dynamic 17-day festival celebrating art, music, food, and interactive experiences. Visitors can explore large-scale installations such as e/motion, Sonic Runway, Optik, and Eggs on Parade. The festival features live performances, culinary delights, and engaging activities for all ages. Charlotte SHOUT! boosts local businesses and highlights the city's creative energy. 

Gareth Reynolds

  • What: Comedian Gareth Reynolds
  • When: 6 p.m. on Sunday, April 13, 2025 (doors open at 5 p.m.)
  • Where: The Comedy Zone Charlotte, 900 NC Music Factory Blvd. B3, Charlotte, NC 28206
  • Cost: $30.76 for general admission (VIP seating sold out)

Hailing from Milwaukee, Reynolds brings his clever humor to stage and screen, having written for or appeared on shows such as "New Girl," "Arrested Development," "You're The Worst," and "Maron." Reynolds' work spans Comedy Central, MTV, and Netflix, making him a standout voice in comedy.
